KOROBOV, Vadim Federovich (b. 1931)
Born in Alechevski village, Ukraine. He started to draw at the age of 12 and entered the Varshilovka Art School in 1950. After serving in the Soviet army he entered the Lugansk Art School, graduating with honors in 1957 after studying under the famous Soviet artist A. Filbert. From 1957 to 1969 he lived and worked in Alchevski as director of the Art Studio. In 1959 he became a member of the Ukraine Union of Artists. In 1970-1974 he worked as a painter in the Soviet Institute in Lugansk City and in 1974 was honored and made a member of the Soviet Union of Artists. Exhibitions include: All Soviet art shows, Lugansk Art Museum shows, All Republican shows, as well as numerous personal exhibitions. Korobov has 35 works in various museums in Russian and Ukraine and he is also represented in many private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
