Lovely 19th century Italian figurine of a dog, signed by the artist: G. Nicoli. Carved of one piece of marble, this piece weighs well over 50 lbs. Acquired in Southern France. We have been calling this dog a pug, but because of the long tail we're not sure what type of dog he might be. He is beautifully carved with a very expressive face.
