Description:
We have recently acquired a collection of 19th century English shoe form shuff boxes of the highest quality from a major estate in New York City. They are highly unusual both in the quality of the work and in their condition.
Carved from ebonized wood with the initials "J" on one side and "B" on the other. Brass pique work and inlaid brass wire decorate the sides, the sole and the top of the lid. The lid slides off to open the box.
