Date: 19th Century Height: 23" Width: 12" Weight: 20 lbs. Price: $5000 Description: A 19th century Japanese statue, carved from one large piece of wood. A bearded man stares gleefully into a crystal ball. This figure is full of symbolism, from the exaggerated shape of the head and the very large earlobes, to the cloud motif carvings on his robes. With the original 19th century crystal ball, 9" in circumference. There is a long inscription by the artist on the bottom of the statue. Some damage to one eyelid.
