Large 19th Century Black Lacquer HoTai, Laughing Buddha

Date: ca. 1870 Height: 8 1/2" Width: 14 3/4" Price: $1500 Description: From late 19th century China and made from many layers of black lacquer over papier mache, this large Ho Tai Buddha has great charisma and a wonderful expression. The lacquer on his belly has a shiny patina where it was rubbed for good luck over many years. In very good condition overall, with a chip in the lacquer on one ear.
